Is buying champions with units still possible?

Hi kabam, is buying champions for units still on, I mean I have a list of champions that I desperately need but there are 3 main champions that I require the most to progress through a lot of content.
1. Magneto (House of X)
2. Apocalypse
3. Professor X, mainly because of immunity to reverse controls.
I need atleast one of these 3 because the crystals just keep on giving me dupes of either Bishop or Kingpin.
Also I don't know but why am I being trolled over to the champion next to these 3, I have been constantly monitoring that and out of 10 crystals only 2-3 are there that don't troll me over.
Besides the 7.3.6 Kang is acting weird, please look into that.

The visual part of the reel is entirely cosmetic. It doesn't actually reflect what you get and if you just simply pop the crystal you'll get the exact same champion you would if you had just rolled it out; save yourself some time; and also apparently save yourself some heart-ache by not thinking that you just missed a champion by a hair.

you gotta think of the crystals like scratch tickets. You can actually play the game for some excitement (i.e. spin the crystal) or just reveal the barcode and scan it (i.e. pop the crystal). Either way it doesn't change the final outcome.
