Modding in BGs

Can we get an update? Right now it appears none of the obvious modders were penalized? Also maybe some communication about penalties for modding?

I’d love to see BG modders banned from participating in the mode for the rest of the season. Including any points they’ve contributed to solo and alliance events set down to zero. I do wish there could be public shaming but I accept that’s not practical for legal reasons.

I don’t disagree with permabans, but it seems like any bans that were issued were insignificant if the modders from last season were not even kicked from their alliances. Offering up something that’s better than what seemingly looks like nothing at the moment. Also allowing that this may be a transparency issue too…

Kabam has been clear: report suspects and they will investigate. But it takes time because there are so many more players than people to do the investigations. There’s a lot of cheating but each report must be examined for proof.

The problem remains that any penalty that’s been issued to date has not been transparent or harsh enough to discourage additional players from throwing up their hands and deciding that cheating is a valid strategy as so many others do it. The current practices of obscurity, do more to encourage cheating than anything else.

It doesn’t have to be public shaming either. It could be cold statistics, “We received X tickets if suspicious behavior, out of those X tickets we have confirmed X accounts were cheating. These X accounts have been suspended, docked units, and will be locked out of any rewards”

That's a good idea , and ban for the next season ...

100% I just wish there was some level of communication on this other than “trust us” from a company that just messed up the math on their own conversion rates….
