How to get over the frustration of bad pulls?

I'm 5 years player with 2,5 million rating, why am I saying this? To clarify that I know very well that RNG is the main aspect of the game. But I've opened almost 42/43 featured crystals since it came out and I only got wang twice and hulkling, no other featured champs, this last 2 days only I've opened around 11 of em with just useless sigs on already duped champs.

So when BGs came out yesterday I grinded very hard and got to silver 1 then opened another 2 featureds and it was sigs on juiblee and sigs on mephisto, so It felt like absolutely wasted effort. I still 100% know it's random RNG but I really got burned out

So my question guys as the title says, how do you deal with that, with the facts that you've wasted hundreds of thousands of 6* shards for absolutely nothing useful? Any advices would be appreciated and if you're gonna troll me at least be funny please

Our time and account sizes are almost identical. The only recommendation I can give you, which I also try to remind myself all the time, is focus on the champs that you do have, learn them well and maximise what you get out of them. There is no other way around it.

And perhaps... stop buying Featured crystals. This is a game of numbers. You maximise the number of crystals you are opening, by focusing on Basic ones. Eventually, great pulls come out of those as well.

Finally, stop watching (IF you do) crystal opening videos. Subconsiously, even if you do not intend to, you are comparing your pulls to their pulls. Their pulls are irrelevant to your own progress. Focus on your own roster, as bad as it seems to your eyes (and probably isn't).

I did the last part about watching crystal openings and it really helps, also the problem is the champs I want from the basic pull are like 3-4 champs and 2 of them are already in the featured ( Scorpion and OS) so I thought it's better odds. But appreciate your suggestions though mate

    Lower your expectations.

Instead of saying. Eh this champ aint no herc , doom , kitty.

Rather say. Mmm I like this champs animations
    Or
Let me see what use this champ could have.

That's what I do, if it's a new champ but getting sigs over the champ feels like a deadend

There will be hood pulls and bad pulls just focus on the next thing your luck is bound to change. Example my last 2 crystals were a groot dupe :/ but I focused on the next crystal and pulled Spidey 2099 one of my most wanted champ. Just press on

Best advice is always expect the worse and if it's anything less than worst possible outcome you will be pleasantly surprised.

In all seriousness, it sounds like your one the players kabam is specifically targeting with the imminent release of 7*. It sounds like the majority of your pulls are already dupes and you have the majority of the 6* available. My advice is don't open any more 6* until you can start getting 7* shards and then hope that first batch of 7* has at least a handful of decent champs.

I thought about that, but by then this featured would be gone unfortunately and I still want 3 of the featureds champs in there

Then you'll have to decide to either try or save. Or try a few see if you get lucky and then save.

If I get a really bad pull, I just take a break from the game until I need to log in for war next :)

The absolute worst thing to do after a string of bad/mediocre luck is: opening the forums. Being 10/10 on 20k candy, you log on to the forums to see some mf bragging about getting 2 AGs, 2 mil gold and t5cc already. Makes the string of bad luck sting even more.

Funnily enough, it's equally bad to open the forums after a good pull. Let's say you get lucky and pull a 6* in 20 cavs. You're chuffed with that and decide to post about it on the forums. Some absolute chad then dunks on you in the replies with a screenshot of them pulling 3 better 6*s in 20 cavs. Doesn't make your pull inherently bad, but it just isn't as good as theirs. It kills off the high of getting sth good.

Moral: just don't open the forums...

I do not open basics anymore after my last two pulls were cap wwII and sentry dupe cause I cant trust them anymore

Don't open Ft unless you are fan of character

Now for bad pulls, idk I usually make my peace with pull. I think that this is just game and I don't need to waste my peace (since I am f2p). Eventually some day I will get good pull, if not that's fine. It's not like that not getting good champ will affect my real life. So thinking that way by relating to game, it somehow eases my pain with bad pulls no matter how much I worked hard. So this ideology have worked for me well. Maybe you can start to see from that perspective.(not a troll or joke post, just trying to to tell how I feel and what I do to get over with it )

Keep playing, keep pulling, and just know that you will have a mix of joy and disappointment.

    You have 3 choices:

1 - Become a whale and waste your life savings until u pull something good

2 - Do as i do, in fact, as Zendaya does, and "never expect anything, so u wont ever be disapointed". Whatever comes, great, but i always expect trash :)

3 - Quit, cause bad RNG will never go away

I guess I pull over 100+ featured, except for Mr Negative and Rintach, all remaining are those old one and dupe (dormmamu, Spidey Gwen, BP, Moonknight level of champs). All my good champ duped are coming from class AG. Thus I’m quite hesitated to pull featured 6*.

As long as you don’t weight too much on this kind of RNG result and acknowledge that there are a lot of things out of your control in life, then your frustration will reduce.

Played the game for 7 years with 3m rating, 930 champs in roster.

Just expect the worst. Heck, I’ve wanted a 5/6* or even 4* - Fury, Quake, Stealth Spidey and Stark Spidey. No luck. I’m convinced I’ll never get them. So, focus on champs you have and like, and use them to their fullest. The crappy champs - don’t use them - pretend they don’t exist on your roster.

How deep is your 6* roster right now?

I ask that, because as others have hinted, you may be better off opening the basic 6* crystals. There's obviously more **** champs there, but there's also some really incredible champs in there (too include the Omega Sentinal you're chasing, if I'm not mistaken).

But in the end, a bad pull stings a lot less when you only spend 10k instead of 15k.

Personally, I didn't start opening featured crystals until I had virtually every non-trophy 6* champ.

    Good luck OP!

Op, I feel your pain on the features 6* crystals as I've always had had luck on them to where I would avoid them but I'm at the point I have most champs so featured is the most logical way to get champs I don't have. I've opened 15-20 6* featured this go around and not even one single featured champ from them, every pull (except for a new Korg) has been extra sig on duo champs.

However, I don't let it bother me as I know things tend to balance out. My featured luck has been trash, but over the past week I opened the summer camp and got Rintrah and I opened the summer resort and got Scorpion. Both these were champs I wanted from featured but failed but got them in a different way.

Also yesterday I caved in to temptation and did a basic 6* and pulled another new champ I really wanted, knull. To summarize, like you and many others, Ive had horrible luck at times, especially in featured crystals, but it eventually balances out as in the past week I've got new champs Rintrah, scorpion and knull. So don't get discouraged during the bad streaks as they come to an end eventually.

I have around 90% of the available 6* and missing around 4-5 useful champs that currently in basics or featured including OS and Scorpion hence I decided to go for featureds which turned out to be a bad choice unfortunately
