Lag when fighting EoP Terrax

Short snippet video attached below. The lag seems worse when he's in his rock phase. Anybody else experiencing this? I use a Samsung Galaxy A53 woth 8GB RAM and tonnes of available storage. I have a fast wifi network which I've been using for years without issue. There is no reason on my end that I should be getting this lag.

    I have heard that there is a way to change the settings of my phone and/or in the game itself to optimise gameplay and fps. Can anybody help out a technologically-challenged person figure this out??
