What's the deal with the IMIW buff?

The beta for the IMIW buff was supposed to start this month but I've not heard anything on it. Does anyone have any info they can share?

Why is he getting a uneeded buff
It's not unneeded. It's it's actually come up more than once that he needed the numbers bump, so they're knocking it out while they can.
@Shadowstrike No he didnt need anything, and there are way worse champs in the game that could be buffed, Way more champs that need a "numbers bump" i feel like he should be at the bottom of the list if he even made on the list at all, he's already solid on offense and defense so yeah id say it's pretty uneeded.
IMIW, he is a defender, he is weak as an attacker, nobody uses it. He does need a buff, the plasma takes very little time. Using it in the attack, it just makes you angry, losing plasmas which is the source of damage.

@HenriqueSCCP there are alot of champs that no one uses that dosent automatically warrant a buff there are tons of solid champs out there that nobody uses because they get overshadowed by better champs, there is literally no way to justify this buff

Sorry for reviving the thread, but we still have no info on the release of the Wiccan and IMIW beta. Is the team unsure if it will release it this month? Should we expect it in December if that’s the case?

That's the thing, those champs that get overshadowed are solid. They are still useful if you don't have the champion that does the same thing but better. IMIW is just a defender. He doesn't get used because honestly, he sucks as an attacker. So yeah, the buff is deserved.

At this point it's pretty safe to assume there won't be a beta for IMIW but there will be a beta for 8.2 next month. Would it be possible to confirm if the changes to IMIW, Wiccan, Gorr or America Chavez will be there too? @Kabam Miike @Kabam Jax

There are several champions that need more than IMIW to have a buff, but IMIW is just value only, which is much easier than overhaul.
Example: Hulk (classic) will have an overhaul buff, it's a lot more work than IMIW's value only.
