Complaints about Battleground matchmaking

I have seen many complaints about matchmaking in battlegrounds.

Personally, I think the matchmaking making aiming to match players with similar prestige or account is not right. It should be matched randomly. The current structure is fine. Some players may decide to go with sandbagging at their own risks.

Somehow, Thronebreaker or Cavalier players are complaining about their matchmaking against Paragon. They want to have sandbagging removed or match against the same level players.

In fact, this game mode is open to everyone. There is no Tier rewards by players title. All players could get the same rewards. Of course, smaller players may struggle more. So they should focus enhancing their roster.

Personally, I think current matchmaking is good enough. If Kabam wants to create new matchmaking algorithm, the battleground itself should be split into Divisions says, Paragon, Thronebreaker and Cavalier with different rewards structure. The players with different divisions shall not face each other. It will be more complicated.

Otherwise, we should keep it as is. Then, Kabam shall put energy and time getting rid of MOD or cheaters that is more serious.

I agree it shouldn't be based on anything other than league, just randomness within league and let things settle over time.

Problem is there is no communication about what their intended system is/what is in place at the moment.

Until things settle, won't be able to tell what the current state is, people will get matched with sandbaggers In either case because they simply haven't changed their deck yet, but could just be getting matched by virtue of being in the same league

I mean, people are right though, they promised they would get rid of sandbagging and now it's worse so they have a right to complain. They lied to us, maybe sandbagging doesn't hurt you cause your account is big but that doesn't mean this isn't hurting the rest of us.

I put my strongest champs and then facing very strong opponents all the time. So hard to climb the ladder. Even with the same Paragon title, there is big differences in the roster depth.

When I look at Cavalier or TB players. How come they just be matched against themselves while there is no different in the rewards as we are in the same pot? I tried sandbagging as well. Sometimes, it is successful. Sometimes, it fails. There is risk factor that we need to take.

That's why I think there is no point to change the algorithm. It should be random as all the players are in the same league. Probably, it should be more random. Otherwise, we need to have different leagues for each Title.

The most annoying in this mode is the cheaters and MOD that I believe Kabam is trying their best to fix but they keep coming. They sprout so fast. I don't care if they cheat in other contents that has no impact to other players. In this mode, apart from losing some in-game items, you are losing your valuable time when you face those cheaters.

Cause it's one thing to match a Paragon with a Paragon and another to match a Cavalier with someone who's months ahead of them in content, you as a Paragon have a chance to win against another Paragon, a Cavalier has absolutely no chance to win.

Again, what you think doesn't matter cause Kabama already stated sandbagging is not in the spirit of the game, they want people to stop doing it.

Sadly, there's always going to be cheaters, cause whenever they implement security measures to prevent cheating, eventually they will find a way to bypass such measures and start hacking accounts again then selling them. All they can do is keep banning cheaters but there is no way for them to stop people from cheating, in fact no game in existence has been able to achieve this so far.

But if they are just being matched because they are in the same league as you not based on their deck/is separate from the fact they still have a sandbagger deck, it will even out over time. The better accounts will rise up the track first and then the lower down accounts will. When people are reporting sandbagging is still a thing, they need to state whether the fights were against people in the same league. Those sandbaggers could also be getting fights against people stronger than them by virtue of being in the same league. The fact they haven't changed their deck yet might be irrelevant if it is now league based matchmaking

Thanks for the comment. My point is if all the players are in the same pot. The matchmaking should be random, right? What is the logic to match Paragon with Paragon, TB with TB and Cavalier with Cavalier.

If that is the case, all the players are not playing in the same playground then.

Why Paragon people who have built their roster for months has no chance to face TB or Cavalier? Why do they need to suffer after all the effort they put in.

Otherwise, as I said, there is no point to have all in the same league if they will not face each other. TB and Cavalier should prove themselves beating Paragon before getting to gladiator circuit. If not, we are not using the same standard.

Hopefully, Kabam will reevaluate this more holistically.

Between that and sandbagging, absolutely, wouldn't mind completely randomized matchmaking for each league at all.
