No more champion gambling

My name is TheRedComet777..I am the leader of the 777s..When I first started playing this game about 3 years ago the first character I wanted was Captain America..It's been 3 years and I still don't have Captain America..The game is based around gambling instead of being able to choose what character you want, you have to gamble for it and hope you get it..This is a BIG problem..The game is DYING because the developers think they can make more money by having players gamble for champions then by just allowing the player to scoll through a list of champions and purchasing a specific one.. NO MORE CHAMPION GAMBLING

Sorry you haven't gotten cap. He was my first 4 star. You really don't think selling a player specific champ on demand is a good idea do you? We would just buy the ones we wanted, skip over the trash and we would all be fighting against nightcrawler, Mephesto, and only the top champs. The solution is an adjustment in the drop odds. The problem is the odds are too "vagas" like, i.e. in favor of the house. The difference here is that when we win Kabam doesn't really loose anything. If we hit the jackpot, (the champ we wanted) kabam is out nothing...that is why these tight odds are so rediculous...cracking open spiderman doesn't send a shower a bunch of Kabam's money all over the floor...

I read a study that shows that the element of chance is much more addictive than being able to chose a known thing. That’s why so much of this game is random chance based and part of the reason why the game is addictive. Kabam won’t chsnge that.

But they have taken most of the fun out of the game and it is losing its addictive properties. They have made all of the champs so mediocre that it is hard to get excited about opening crystals. If you’re not excited about the potential reward, then you won’t stay addicted.

They may be killing the game. Sad.

Actually the irony is the more we loose and miss getting our target the more it hurts Kabam.

Ummm. You should have spent time in the arena when he was in it a few months back if you really wanted him. I don't feel for you at all. Not sorry

I feel like some randomness is necessary in the game to maintain the balance. if we were all able to pick our champs, then it would be so boring as everyone would have the same top champs.

However, I agree that there is a great deal of disappointment in the game and it can be very disheartening to get ONLY bad pulls, which has happened to many people.

I've always advocated doing other things to improve without removing the random element:
    1. Increase featured drop odds the more of the same crystal is purchased (e.g. first crystal 20%, second one 30%, etc) so those that have saved for many months will actually have a very good chance at getting the champ they want. We could even have it so the drop rates increase for the subfeatureds also so if you get a subfeatured, you are considered to have gotten a good champ and the odds go back to original (e.g. 20%)
    2. Remove very bad champs from the 5* featured crystals or at least cut off the oldest champs. Keep all the champs in the basic pool but have the featured crystals have only the featured, subfeatures, and the most recently added (say 3-9 months) champs. This might still give you say She-Hulk but takes away some dummies like Iron Patriot
    3. Make the sad pulls more viable. I can't tell you how terrible it is to pull iron patriot, spider gwen, howard, KK, colossus...

And I'm talking only about the 5* (and future 6*) crystals which are so incredibly hard to save up for. The crappy champs can all stay in the 4* crystal.
