Game disconnect after getting knocked out in BGs

So I've been Santa-Bagging(as it's being called) in BGs to make use of leftover energy before I go to bed, this ofcourse means I have 2*s facing off against 5/6 stars and will get knocked out in a single hit when the fight starts
If I don't perform any inputs and end up getting knocked out in BGs in a single hit I get a message saying that the game has lost connection, reconnecting after that will bring me back to the start of the fight having the cycle repeat itself.
The only way I've found to stop this is to perform a few inputs (dash back, hit opponent, etc.) After that everything happens as it should.
This has happened on multiple occasions.

Android version: 13 (OneUI 5.0)
