Masochism never evolved with the game

Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Nodes that we absolutely can't stand but have to endure.

Mainly here, masochism. I don't have a problem with the node. I just feel like it has never evolved with the game. As health pools got bigger, as more star variations added, etc, that good old 7 second timer has stayed the same. Not to mention the a.i. changes (which allegedly never happened and never happen still *cough cough*).

I gave up on the fact that the timer overlaps itself into an infinite loop...it takes 7 seconds to cooldown and it starts immediately. Since the current regen in MOT is 7 seconds, this means the regen can be infinite (i.e. try guardian against domino in GC and you will find that she never stops regen due to the shock re-applying over and over....which i also think is a weird interaction because wouldn't guardian always be crit failing?
I've never had him crit fail the whole fight due to the shock being there in normal fights). Question here is why can't the timer start after the regen ends? Or increase the timer like people have stressed for years. Just makes no sense not to update the game and make changes to match the current meta. It's like you had a small box and kept filling it up. It's ready to burst. Why not get a bigger box?

    I don’t understand your point and feel like you went off on a few tangents from your title point. Are you saying they should make it…. Easier? Is it not fair how it is?

    And how is the box analogy applicable? Shouldn’t they have some nodes that stay the same with all the new nodes? It’s like having a box full of nodes, or let’s say goldfish, and then when you fill it up entirely with new goldfish, you just get another box to hold even more goldfish, so you just can hold a ton more goldfish and still revisit your old ones.
