Why are 7 featured champs in the new 5* feature pool?

Anyone else notice that 7 featured champs were added in the new 5* Feature pool?
Valkyrie, QS, Titania, Spot, Spidey Supreme, Galan, Infamous IM.
Was this a mistake? Is it intended? If yes, why? And will it extend to the 6* feature pool in the future?
Kabam, would appreciate some clarity.

    I feel like it has always been like this. 5* probably gets one more champ simply because a 5* isn’t game breaking and won’t have as much impact on a players roster even if their roster is small because they’re a generally quick and easy replacement.
    Also, I may be wrong, but I am not sure they last the same amount of days which could also explain the difference.

    EDIT: also, the 6* featured usually includes a champ recently added to the 6* pool, in this case Scarlet Witch and previously champs like Blade and Starky. So they may be number 7.

    I get that the schedule is offset between 5 and 6 * pools. But always there are 6 new champs added to each pool. This time the 5* pool had 7 champs added. I want to know why.
