Question about Rogue s lore

In this game we got the classic Rogue, that flies and has superstrengh after absorbing Captain Marvel s powers permanently, so my question is: Why cant she shoot photon blasts from her hands as well? Didnt she absorb all her powers?

I tried to look up online but didnt find an answer for that :S

Like Dave said, Carol's original powerset was flight, super-strength, near invulnerability and a mysterious "7th sense". That's what Rogue got. Carol later got new energy based powers and became known as Binary, instead of Ms Marvel.
