Am I losing my mind or are champs gaining more power from being struck than usual

I have been doing fights where I’m seeing the opponent gain a bar of power in like 6 basic hits, usually it’s 2 combos before they have enough power for an L1, not against Mystics or power gain Buffs, just normal base combat power rate feels like it’s bugged out, let me know if anyone else feels the same.
