Should a new account max out suicides to fit current top champs?

I started this account 40 days ago or so as my new f2p account. Has yet to earn a 6 star champ, but after todays event I have 7. I rolled a mystic and generic awakening gem for the gifting crystals. I awakened Herc and can awaken Diablo immediately

I am only at 5.1. Given Herc and diablos suicide boost, should I max out suicides and willpower and try to get tk cavalier as fast as possible riding those 2 champs, or should I be patient and try to build a deeper roster not reliant on suicides?

    This is why this event is dumb IMO. 5.1 and you have 7 6* champs and some awakening gems. Absolutely ridiculous.

    But to say no to recoil personally. And they both are fine without suicides especially in act 5.
