Question About Alliance Quest Tiers

Hey all.
I’ve got a question about alliance quest tiers.
If I were to start a new alliance and the alliance is able to score 100m for their first AQ run, what will the ranked rewards be? Will the alliance still be working it’s way up normal, advanced then finally reaching expert tier?
Also, what happens if an existing alliance in expert tier decides to take an AQ break and not run AQ for this current existing series? Will they be still in expert tier the next series?

The alliance taking a break could drop a tier as it should be ranked for the week's effort. Sounds logical?
