NC mode switching broken?

I am our alliances NC killer I never have a problem with him as 90% of the time switch his modes at the start of the fight. Since the update I just can’t get him to switch anymore. His timer just disappears or he evades back every single time! Out of 5 fights I might switch him once it’s getting a joke now since I know how easy it used to be!

If anyone can shed some light on this or if they are seeing similar problems?

I never seen NC switch modes in AQ/AW. Every time I fight him, he dashes back and hold block then let go numerous times so he won't switch.
