On Iron Man (IW): Thank you, Kabam!

The rotation is SOOOO MUCH BETTER after the adjustment — it’s so much better for the player experience.

I post this kind of thing because I truly hope the people who decide upon these things and then execute them truly realize how appreciated it is.

Some kits are so narrow in how you can access various aspects of utility or DPS because of really tight windows and short timers, and sometimes it really helps to just loosen those up by just a little, so players can have a better time actually playing with kits, as opposed to simply them on defense or something.

So, again: Thanks, Kabam! I would gladly accept more of this kind of thing, any time!

A definite improvement on rotation but his damage has been cut

I need to look at that more closely — not because it isn’t something I believe, but because I wonder if an improved rotation will make it about the same in the long run

I mean, we all know the deal from before: It was really difficult to maintain Plasmas against opponents with long animations or were passive. Again: Not saying DPS couldn’t have been cut. I just need to run some fights against tougher contents and see if the improved rotation makes up for it

i haven't tested it since the beta but during the beta his DPS definitely was cut .. i assume because of the extended length but still ... yes the rotation is much much easier to keep up but ultimately it doesn't do much as far as damage goes. i was testing with a R2 duped.

In terms of damage, I was satisfied. My 5*r3 ticked for just over 250 w one plasma and about 600 with two of them. That was without any synergy, with class advantage. Idk how is that on higher ranks, but to me this feels acceptable

Even after the "buff", he still needs his synergy with Stealthy to maintain his plasmas up on a realistic questing matchup (outside of monthly Cavalier EQ), as in Story mode (Acts 7/8) which very often have nodes that limit your rotation. And of course the damage has seen no improvement.

One has to wonder what is the point of Kabam devoting man-hours on, clearly, failed buffs like this. Some people just can't seem to learn from their mistakes...

Always interesting to see @ESF 's perspective.

I've commented on another thread that it seems very counter-intuitive to improve one aspect of a champion at the cost of another (such as, for example, increasing Hood's damage ability whilst removing his Fate Seal ability, which Kabam thankfully reversed).

It is easier to maintain plasma and Incinerate now; and I do appreciate that has value. I suspect we'll need time to see how good this adjustment really was. First impression is that this is functioning a bit like Masacre's buff, which was focused on improving his ease of rotation, and made Masacre a lot more useable. Although that buff also found time/space to increase Masacre's damage...

I'll definitely give it some time and attention in next month's EQ and late Story quests, and see how he feels to play.
