Monthly EQ champ ratings doubled but rewards are the same? Why?

Usually I could autofight the 1-1 of the uncollected monthly quests, but now the champs are double the rating they used to be. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the rewards were better, but they are not. What's going on here?

    Just because the PI is higher does not make it any harder.
