Try to press SP button, attacker performs a dash attack instead

Started happening last night I'll try to hit the sp button but the fighter dashes in for an attack instead. First time I figured I must've swiped while hitting the button but it's happened several times now and I know I'm not swiping. Anyone else experiencing this? It feels like the auto play activated for a second like I wasn't in control of my attacker.
