Wiccan bugged?

Is something wrong with wiccan that I missed? I've soloed knull bosses in tier 4 wars with unsteady ground tactic several times. However, last war and this one, I've died. On 2 fights I got reverse controlled? His resistance "shield" doesn't seem to work properly. Not winning, just explaining my genuine concern and confusion.
