Nick Fury purify against Cassie

I noticed that Fury was not purifying the combo detonation debuff after knocking her down in EQ TB difficulty at least. He purifies the power stings, but combo detonation sticks. I didn’t see anything in Cassie’s abilities about this. What am I missing? Or is it a bug?
