Battlegrounds Points Allocation in a Tied Match

I had a Battlegrounds fight yesterday. Round 2, both fights ended in a Timeout.
My fight ended with
My 5* Attacker 59.8% health
His 5* Defender 57.8% health
Points awarded 21,631

His fight ended with
His 6* Attacker 15.8% health
My 5* Defender 27% health
Points awarded 24,263, giving him the win for the round.

If I had the higher health remaining on both occasions, how did I lose? The only difference I can see is he used a 6* in his fight.

It’s not a tie. You get twice as many points for damage done to the defender than you get for health remaining. You didn’t deal enough damage to his defender.
