Okay, since when the AI perform special intercepts?

I just dashed into Miles and that mf just retaliated with a sp2 right to my face. I was not made aware of any changes to the AI that would make it so this and it has never happened before.

I took CGR into a fight against Ultron today and I kid you not, Right as I was about to launch SP2, the screen froze and my controls went dead. Ultron stopped fighting stood straight up and said “You can’t do that, Dave.”

The AI can also throw specials now mid heavy if you rush in to punish it 😂 they got some new skills, but Kabam said they did nothing so must be true.

How are you guys just getting AI like this now? I've been special intercepted, had AI wait out prompts, hold specials until power sting runs out, been backdraft intercepted, etc for years. Not saying it has been common but it has definitely been possible.

Pretty much... I will say it's gotten more pronounced the last 6 months or so.

The AI is chaining heavies to special 🤣 go for the opening and eat a special to the face ..its kinda funny at this point

Recently had America Chavez throw 2 heavies in a row to activate her Parallel Dimensions, despite me not holding block and being not close enough to get hit by the heavies.

I hate when the developers ignore the AI/take advantage of it? The recharge(hold block for power gain) lane in 2.2(I think it was) combined with the passive AI and turtling was really frustrating. Hitting into their block trying desperately to get them to attack as the just hid in the corner holding block was rediculous.

The developers may supposedly not know what causes the passive behavior but they shouldn't design nodes where the defenders will take advantage of it.

That particular node has always been like that since the day it was introduced many years back

On that node what u need to do is to not attack the enemy at all
More aggressively u try to hit them, more passive they will become

U just dash back, hold block, gain ur power, let the defender come at u, do a reparry or bait a heavy to get ur openings

On that node the defender will be slightly aggressive when u are completely passive
U show a little bit of aggression & they go back to holding block & being passive

where you can really see that kabam has made changes is against Joe Fixit, it is now impossible to escape his sp1 in the last shots. before you could evade the last shot and make a counter attack. now if you try to evade the last shots of his sp1, you take the last shots and bleed yourself.
I think that's where you'll really see that Kabam has changed the time of evade and parry. not to mention all the changes made against our knowledge.

I just witnessed Red Skull on tech TB EQ just stand there for a good ten seconds, holding block and nothing else. I was using IMIW, had both DoT debuffs, needed a hit to get a plasma and he JUST WAITED FOR ONE OF THOSE TO EXPIRE BEFORE RESUMING THE FIGHT.

I can get the bots not throwing specials when they are close to sp3 and with power gain but between waiting out indestructibles and this, denying player the ability to actually use his own champion is a **** move.

Think they've made the AI more neutral to account for infuriate and intimidate debuffs. In the past, you could intercept 20 times in a row with magik once you'd power-locked the opponent. Nowadays if you intercept 3 times in a row, you should buy a lottery ticket.

You can't even do the kitty cycle thing. You throw a sp3 when they have a sp3 and they will literally wait until your phase is over and then throw a sp3. They have definitely changed the AI. Idk why they put mechanics in the game that they don't want used. They made that true focus **** and released kitty and now you don't see it anywhere other than eop dragonam.

Star lord bot for example is specifically designed to sp1 intercept. He's been doing it for years at this point
