Galan/Odin pre-fights consumed but not active

In AQ, I activated Galan and Odin pre-fights for VTD. Phone died mid-fight (oops). After booting my phone and seeing my VTD at half health (reasonable), he no longer had the pre-fights (unreasonable). They were active on VTD before the phone died mid-fight. After re-opening the game, the pre-fights were no longer active for the fight or on VTD. I imagine this is the same result as the game crashing during your first fight where the pre-fights were activated.
