AW positioning with amplifiers - Bug or Feature?

There has been a big discussion within my alliance regarding whether it is worth it to place your defender with amplifiers on. From testing I did if you place them with amps, they will show up inflated for the time that the amplifier is still valied but valuation will decrease once it expires, HOWEVER total defender rating is still inflated hours after. My question is: Is this a feature or a bug? Looking on the forums this seemed to be rebunked as a myth months ago, but this behavior seems odd right.

    A prior mod confirmed it's working as intended.

    Unfortunately, even though my forum jail bars have gone away, I still appear to be shadow banned for reasons unknown to me.

    Maybe if @Kabam Miike or @Ad0ra could fully reinstate my forum account so that others can see my posts, then I could help answer the OP's question.
