activating imperius rex pausing terran’s rock field

picture this, i’ve just spent about 15 minutes playing flawless quake against grandmasters gauntlet Dr Doom. i’m now at terrax, not to fear i brought my namor!
i get him into a loop, back to back intercepts, fight going great, BOOM L3.
what?
there’s nothing in either champions kit, the nodes or anything that would cause this. so i revive and have another crack. but this time i pay attention, and i notice that the instant i activate imperius rex his rock field just ends, and he then has access to his special attacks again, i then ate another L3 and that was that.
is this intentional? and if not it NEEDS a fix. i know a lot of players who use namor to counter terrax, and the terrax in grandmasters gauntlet is an absolute roadblock if namor can’t be used here.
