Battle grounds losses

I was platinum 2 with one win away from diamond 3. I began the fight and activated one of my 4 victory shields. I easily won the first round and later almost flawlessed my opponents Nick Fury. Then I got disconnected and instantly lost the battlegrounds match. I disregarded that annoying loss of luck and got into another match with another victory shield (keep in mind I have 3 now). I got destroyed because the person had 2k more prestige than me and lost the victory shield and lost my points too. I have 2 victory shields now and I still lost my progress.
