Why were people who did the easy path of gauntlet punished?

So it was announced we could do the gauntlet again after re-release, but if you did the easy path you then lost out on the full rewards twice as they counted any completion as an entry. They locked the path rewards behind a key system and there is no warning if you have no keys so, of course, i completed and earned no prizes as I didn’t receive any keys. There should at the least be a warning, and also there should not be a punishment and loss of keys for doing what we were told was ok to do. You should at the very least be able to get the path rewards once but it should be 3 times for everyone, keeping track of completion is an incorrect way to treat it
