Wolverine relic whiffing causing BG losses

I lately have been using a Wolverine relic on my Archangel and every time I launch it when the opponent is almost about to die to close out the match the relic misses entirely after a normal combo and the ai blocks it and ruins my match… relics are supposed to actually hit the opponent are they not… please fix
