Battle Grounds Connectivity Issue

Connection is all great until it is time to select your defender and attackers. Although I have great WiFi connection, I get the notification on the bottom right corner that indicates I am having connectivity issue. I can select a champ but not lock it in, and then the game chooses a completely different champ. This has happened several times and it seems to be pretty specific on the type of champs it chooses at times, usually if I am choosing defense it will choose a great attacker and vice versa. I don't believe it is a connection issue from my part since I can still stay on the app and see the champ the game selects and what my opponent selects, I am not sure if there is some mechanic people are taking advantage of but this has been a problem since the previous season.
