How will the f2p part of the seven star event compare to the whaling part?

Good day all, upon initial release of the offers and seven star solo objective I was peeved as I am a casual spender usually only buying the Sunday paragon offer and once in a while a daily card that's about all I do, but then I remembered the quests and everything else that would help f2p in this event so I calmed down till I saw a message from a buddy of mine a few hours ago. Usually whenever there's a deal with a solo event or any form of deal it lasts abt a week or 2, not 2 days like this paragon crystal one does, which raised a suspicion as to why it was 2 days, and judging by what my friend said in his message I am hoping to God that it is not true cause if it is Kabam, that would be a huge mess up.

I’m so confused. We’re upset that a money deal is going to hurt F2P because it expires in 2 days? A deal that F2P players aren’t going to purchase? It’s 2 days because it’s a reskin of the Banquet/Gifting crystal offer, not because something shady is going on. They’re trying to capitalize on getting as much money as they can before the Shooting Stars quest comes out and players can earn points for clearing that.

Edit: read your friends post again and I guess it’s making a little more sense, but I still can’t understand what they’re upset about. Literally nothing out of the norm is going on here.

I think the Shooting Stars Event will be really good for everyone. The Elite players are getting a moment to enjoy their new champs, then the chase will resume.

I've read this twice and I have no idea what event you're referring to that is supposed to help F2P.

What is know is we are getting some paragon crystals as rewards in new quest.
I was told there are about ~9 paragon crystals in the quest for exploring. I can be completely wrong.

So I have told some of my f2p guys to watch out for it. Cuz those crystals will get us few extra points towards the 14 day event.

@Demonzfyre I reread the announcement and it will help PARAGON ftp players. There is one lane that does not require a 7*, but you do have to be Paragon. It will probably have 3K 7* shards, which will allow most paragons to get a 7* and open those lanes.

I agree but not most players will be able to open a 7 star from 3k shards. There will be loads of players still short after (like me)

Ah ok. Yes, that does make sense. I thought they meant the crystal opening event since the quest isn't an event.

Why do u guys call it an event?...
Its a quest with gated paths...and i think its permanent no?
