With 7* being released i will agree if you say ranking up 5* seems a waste of resources. However, those who have a huge pool of 6* and more than one 7* actually have a huge pool of fully ranked up and leveled up 5* as well. Although there is only one champ tier specific quest at the moment, god knows when kabam is going to add more, like they said they are willing to. So ranking up your 5* is not going to be a waste. If you already have a huge pool of 5*, then progress on to thronebreaker and paragon.
