Gorr on final defense node in Alliance War not getting his signature ability.

I put my Gorr on the boss node of AW and he doesn’t get a stack of heresy for someone entering. I watched them attack with Hercules a champ with a god tag and he didn’t get any stacks of heresy either. I am just wondering if this is a visual bug or an actual bug.
