Sp3 Activated Mid-Combo

Playing around in SQ to get objectives, and I experienced something new to me: during the third and fourth hits of my combo, the defender managed to activate its Sp3.

Obvious answer to anticipated question: no, I don’t have it recorded. Requiring players to run screen record every time they play shouldn’t be a game requirement.

It's not a game requirement, just helps with diagnosing bugs.

Do you happen to know which champion you were using and which one you were fighting? There's no way this bug is intended, I imagine it's something wrong with the interaction

I don't see why a video of this is required. You're not asking for anything... you should just be believed. Why lie about this type of stuff? I love this game and would love it even more if bugs like this didn't exist. People who report this stuff without demands for free stuff should be taken at their word.

They are believed, but it's still very difficult to fix bugs without more information. It's not about whether or not they're telling the truth, just about fixing it

Of course. My attacker was Shang and the defender was Rintrah. What struck me as doubly odd was that Rintrah didn’t flash unstoppable passive before immediately triggering Sp3–seemingly the only way he could have interrupted my combo.

Anecdotally, I’ve raised the point in a couple of chats and received confirmation that others have seen similar instances recently. Not widespread, just a few times here and there.

As for recording…sure, in a perfect world all anomalies would be recorded so we could vet them and diagnose any problems that might have occurred. But also in a perfect world, we wouldn't have to record because there wouldn’t be MCoC anomalies.

AI throws sp3s in mid combo indead, I second that. Even in his mid combos, if it needs only 3 hits to get the full bar, it doesn't bother to do the rest of the 5-hit combo.

Actually, my experience was that the AI threw its Sp3 in the middle of my combo…

While I am not trying to be discredit anyone's gameplay issues, it's really difficult to judge what is actually a bug versus player error. There have been many times I have both witnessed on livestreams & in my own playing where I'm not sure if I missed a parry or something similar & wonder was that my mistake or not. Using parry issues as an example. Everyone is so quick to blame the bugs & issues when a mistake is made. These forums are littered with posts about multiple different issues. Are they all on Kabam's end? No one knows. That is my opinion on why video documentation is so crucial to finding fixes

Because players make mistakes. And bugs are hard to diagnose without proper information on what is happening. Sure video isn't always available but all other information is needed.

If every player is to be taken at face value and resources allocated for solving that issue it would be an utter waste. Because there are still players who have no idea why Spiderman is evading their venom

Yes, I have also noticed this AI throwing specials mid combo but only when ending with a Medium. Not sure if there is a delay between my medium or if it wiffs? Worth adding this is nothing that I can reproduce all the time.

I find this happens with all specials at times and think it’s part to do with hits not registering even if they are making contact and the defender is able to launch specials mid combos.

Not enough to go unstoppable. And my experience is that if Rintrah does go unstoppable, it’s not uncommon for him to get a hit in before he uses a special. In my case it was immediate and in the middle of my combo.

With that said, I also had a combo simply die yesterday after my third hit. I’m convinced this is less of an upgraded AI feature than a knock-on from the persistent frame rate/lag issues many of us have experienced over the last year.
