[BG] Only getting matched with much better opponents, why?

I can't get past Silver I in Battlegrounds because i keep getting matched to opponents with much better champion rosters and this has been going on for weeks. My top champ has about an 11K hero rating and my top 15 barely averages a rating of around 10K, but i keep getting matched with opponents whose top champ has a 15K-17K hero rating and a top 15 average of 12K-14K. And this happens every time for weeks now.

Why can't i get a balanced match even close to being equal to my own hero ratings, and at Silver I? I haven't experienced this before and my roster has hardly changed since season 1.

    You do not get matched based on your roster. “Fair” matches are not part of the matchmaking equation. Until they seriously modify BG, this will remain an issue.

    If it helps, I have a well developed roster with loads of highly ranked champs, and yet I will match with insane rosters. Just the way it Is. Gotta climb over the big dogs to get the bone.

    But this NEVER used to happen during previous seasons. I've been playing ever since BG first started and i've always gotten fair and balanced match-ups that was equal to my own roster, with a few exceptions now and then, but ever since i reached Silver I this season i haven't gotten a single match where the opponent didn't have a far superior roster.

    7 seasons with balanced and equal match-ups, and now NO balanced and equal match-ups for several weeks during season 8, you can't say that's not at least a bit weird to drastically change like that.

    that's how it is, you just need to move on
    people who benefit the most in battlegrounds are those who have the largest/best rosters in the game.
    it's an issue where it's solution is gonna take a lot longer to find
    the only thing you can do about it is just not care since it's pointless anyways
    it also really depends when you start doing battlegrounds since the close it gets to the season's end the hardest people will try to progress
    i had an easier time in silver 1 and it was weeks ago/close to a month ago that's a big difference

    I actually thought this season was harder to crack into the second circuit.....usually I got there by playing a few matches a day (and maybe 2-3 days where I played for a couple hours)......this season, It took me at least 30 matches minimum to get out of diamond 1.....it was a nightmare. For perspective, I have 3-4 champs around 20-21k and the rest of my BG deck is mostly r3 6 stars...maybe 2-3 r2s (AA, Mojo). For my entirety of diamond 1 I'd say 90% of my matchups were against 100% r4 and higher champs.....I'd have to scroll to the bottom to make sure I didn't miss some 17k rintrah straggler.....terrible time this season getting to uru. Definitely felt wayyyyy more competitive towards the end.....I thought it was a breeze up until I'd say platinum

    I Thought it gets easier toward the end of the season.

    Having the same issue. So I tried to do story quests to progress further, but having issues with my specials not working right. I’m not doing long quests just to have my specials not work, get destroyed and have to start all over. So that’s not an option currently. I already finished the EQ and SQ, and arena is pointless with my roster. So I’m just gonna take a few weeks off and find another game to pass my time. I’ll come back next month and hopefully the side quest will be a fun one(didn’t enjoy this months). And if my special inputs are working correctly by then, I’ll try to do the story quests I need to finish and hopefully progress further to where I can make my roster more competitive. If not, I’ll just play to the point I’m at now, and take a break again. No use getting upset about it. Kabam runs a business, so the game’s always gonna be geared towards those who most contribute to that business being a success. Me and the $30 bucks or so I might spend a month aren’t doing that, so expecting the game to be tailored towards me or players like me is irrational. It is what it is, I’m certainly not gonna waste any time stressing it!!

    I'm sorry 7 seasons with balanced and equal matchups? You weren't here when sandbagging was still a thing? Lol
    People are still sandbagging. I matched against a few just today.
