Sunspot's Special Attacks Physical or Energy Damage?

Do they do physical or energy damage? His description doesn't mention it and Auntm.ai doesn't know either.
I want to know because of the Gambit relic.

I can confirm that it's energy, i know that as a fact because i fought mangog using sunspot in bg and the more charges he had, the less damage my sp2 was doing...once i looked it up i saw that he increases his energy resistence per charge

Energy - if you duel him with bishop he gets destructive feedback

His attacks are physical. When you fight korg your mediums and heavy inflict damage back to you when he has his rock stacks.

That happens with energy and physical damage. You're thinking of non-contact attacks, which don't take thorns damage. Mystic champions deal all energy damage and they still take thorns damage.

Re-read korg’s sig ability. His sig triggers against contact attacks, yes. But it specifically says it does not trigger against contact attacks that deal energy damage.

Wrong. Doom doesn’t take any damage back and you can perfectly doom cycle korg.

You're right, I think I'm getting thrown off by CMM and HT considering all mystic attacks as energy damage. Hitting into Torch's block with Sunspot doesn't increase his temp, so Sunspots basic attacks are definitely physical.

I will add a caveat to this because I misread the title, his basic attacks are physical but his specials are energy.

If anything, you can test the example that i gave....fight mangog using him and you'll see how low the damage of your specials will be xD that fight was horrible btw lmao my r4 sunspot could not finish the fight even with 4 sp2
    Mangog was 7* btw

You probably just ran out of solar charges and lost all your damage

No, i simply made the mistake of throwing the sp2 while mangog had around 8-10 charges, his energy resistence is insane with that amount of charges

Incinerate is energy damage, but his contact hits do physical damage, so technically he does both 'energy and physical' damage at same time

His specials also do energy damage even without inflicting incinerates. I tested him against HT by just blocking Sunspots basic and special attacks. His basic attacks don't build temp, but his Specials do.
