Game Temporary Progression Reset Glitch

I opened the game just now. I was like they added some new intro, then realised game started from beginning for some reason. That was a nightmare.
I immediately closed the game and restarted. Everything was as it should be and currently is. All champs, lv60 and Paragon title. I almost got a heart attack for a moment.
I m not sure what could have happened here. I didn't do anything and just started game as usual. I have questions like if i hadn't quit the game and played the tutorial what would have happened. Like what happened there, this could have been potential issue.
