Thank you doing the opposite of what so many are doing, and owning up to what you did, not making up excuses and just letting people know what to expect (if they took advantage of this).
Thanks for letting everyone know. Sucks it came to that but I don’t see how else they could have handled it.
If you can, please update us next week with what all they took back. Curious if they took all the gold/iso and if they rolled back your progress in any content done between the bug and now.
I'll be honest I was expecting them to just remove items from accounts who opened less than like 100 wasn't expecting to see bans for this amount of them opened.

I wasnt expecting bans at all, just corrections And i don't think you can put a number from right to wrong... 50 is as bad as 1250

I mean going off this comment from Miike I was assuming bans would be going out to those who opened pretty much all of them.

I think opening 1 or 10 is completely excusable, someone on autopilot could absolutely spin or pop it without noticing the number.

Ehhh yeah you might be right cause of that open 10 button... But after that its just unexcusable

That’s my guess. 10 or less get lucky, more than that and they have to take them back and I don’t see how they do that easily without freezing the accounts ASAP to minimize the impact.
Miike’s message was a little ambiguous but it looks like the threshold is at least 50 and maybe lower.
I personally think bans (temporary) are absolutely needed for anyone who exploited this (one can argue what the quantitative amount to constitute exploitation).
The #1 reason I believe this is we all agree an enormous amount of things can be done by those who exploited this. Between beating content they couldn't otherwise beat with their rosters, to ranking up champs they wouldn't have iso or gold for (and then using them to beat content), from winning BG matches with champs they shouldnt have and therefore taking rewards from others who would have otherwise beat them, etc and I can go on and on.
If Kabam doesn't ban them ASAP (I'm sure they would've been banned yesterday but it likely happened late enough in the day tonwhere it couldn't all be identified by end of work day) then they can continue to get these "indirect" rewards that they never wouldve gotten without this exploit.
Forums can keep arguing how well Kabam can identify all direct rewards gained from exploit (champs, iso, gold) but imagine trying to add all of the indirect rewards like those mentioned above, that would be a whole different beast.
Identifying what exploiters got has to be tine consuming I'd assume, so the bans are needed to give employees the time needed to do this.
Of those in forums who have been open about exploiting this, some have said they lost unopened crystals but I don't think anyone has had opened rewards taken away yet, most likely because that's way more time consuming.
Giving out these bans allows time to go through the exploiters accounts and figure out what needs to be removed and this ban makes it so they are not using their resources gained from this to keep gaining additional indirect rewards while they are going through all these accounts.
They have also removed Mythic crystals entirely from the Crystals tab, as a stop gap measure to prevent any further openings while they evaluate (I had like 500 shards a few days ago, and now I don't even see it at all in my menu).

Look in the spider-store, you can buy some in one offer and it shows how much you got. I still got all my shards.
I suspect if they need to remove a bunch of champs and sigs from your account a temp ban also means that a) you can’t use those champs before they’re removed and b) you can’t get legitimate champs and screw up kabams work
Nothing against you but that ban is a bit of a slap on the wrist imo. 7 days? That’s it? And you keep what you got from opening? 50 isn’t that much. Like someone else said in this thread….50 or 1250 shouldn’t matter. It’s still an inexcusable exploit. Now I’ll be very upset if people who opened all 1250 don’t get everything they earned or completed from doing so, taken away. And IF by some odd chance that kabam only sends out bans, there better be long duration bans for people who opened a lot. Maybe a month or more for anyone who opened 100+. It’s only right since it would take months to acquire what they got for free….

They suspended me so I wouldn't be able to progress. All of the illegitimate champs I got will be removed from my account.

Sounds like something you would say when the Earth's end has started...
