a question about alliances

if i join a different alliance now, what happens with battlegrounds alliance event? are rewards completely shut off for the rest of it? or do i have to reach a certain requirement to unlock rewards? or are they just unlocked from the start? how does it work

    You gotta be in the alliance for 7 days I think
