Duplicating Feature Champion

So I managed to get a 6 star Jabari Panther from the Featured Arena and it was my first dupe of the champion. When I check my 7 star shards, I only got a 100 shards from duping the champion. I contacted support and their response is duping a champion from a feature arena only gives 100 shards instead of the standard amount.

Since when does duping the featured champion give less shards? Do others know this?
