Purchase Limit

i never really gave this a thought before until now, but why are there purchase limits? i understand with stores for something like the loyalty store, or side quest stores due to wanting side quests to have a certain amount of resources it pays out. but with stores like the glory store or bg store i’m confused about. if i put in the work to rack up my glory or trophy tokens, why am i limited to how much i can use on something i want especially if i earned it
