Energy not going above 70?

I had a full energy refill expiring so waited until I was at 69 energy to use it. Game indicated it would go up to 139, but after using it, my energy meter was only at 70. Wondering if others have had the same thing happen recently. I am using an iPhone 13 with the current iOS. Game is current version.
