Quick question about Shooting Stars and Paragon crystals

I remember that when 7*'s first released there was a solo event that rewarded players for opening Paragon crystals with 7* shards. Is there any chance of this event coming back? I'm asking because I want to know if I should save my Paragon crystals from the Shooting Stars quest or not.

    It is theoretically possible that something like that could return, but as far as I know Kabam hasn't indicated that it will. Also, even if it did, there is a slow decay in the value of opening rewards at some unspecified future time. I'd suggest just opening them now, and enjoy!
