Excessive Parry

I’ve only been playing since March or April but the last couple of weeks I’ve been parried excessively. I’m not the greatest fighter but I don’t remember ever having parry used against me till now. Im sure it happened but did something change to allow it to be so excessive now or should I just get gud?

Where was this happening? Arenas, story mode, what were the nodes, etc. Parry is actually a node, unless you are fighting other people who have the mastery setup (ie war, arenas, BG).

In everything but I’ve been playing arena mostly.

In arena, war, and battlegrounds you fight against other player's champions, so any champ owned by someone with the parry mastery (essentially everyone) will be able to parry or dex your attacks while on defense. Solo content (story, monthly event/side quest, incursions, back issues etc) won't be able to do this unless a specific node states otherwise.

I try to dex but for some reason, this idiot game thinks I tried to block

Yeah I understand how it works. I haven’t played for years like some of you but it just seems like a huge change in how often I get parried these past few weeks but I guess it’s just me since no one has agreed so far.

Lol yeah I have issues with input too. Blocking fails for me a lot or it thinks I want to throw a medium 🙄

You just have to learn to play a bit differently in pvp modes. I think it's a perfectly normal tendency to want to play aggressively, but if you get parried in arenas, war etc just take a step back and find your rhythm again instead of rushing right back in.
