Inconsistent synergies, why?

I've noticed that synergies are quite inconsistent when editing your team in-game.

For example:
Apocalypse has synergy with ArchAngel, but ArchAngel doesn't have synergy with Apocalypse.

Ultron has synergy with DragonMan, but DragonMan doesn't have synergy with Ultron.

ArchAngel has synergy with Colossus, but Colossus doesn't have synergy with ArchAngel.

Colossus has synergy with Hyperion, but Hyperion doesn't have synergy with Colossus.

etc etc...

Doesn't this seem a bit inconsistent? How can A have synergy with B that in turn doesn't have synergy with A?

Synergy basically means compatible co-operation, so how can someone have compatible co-operation with someone that doesn't have it in return? That in itself negates the whole concept.

They can't go updating 100 characters a month with 100 new sinergies just for introducing new characters

Synergy just means two or more things working together to make things better. It doesn’t matter which character they slap the synergy on. You still need both of them on the team to activate the synergy

Most of the synergy benefits both the champions regardless of each champion has a synergy with the other or not so I don't see your point.
