What's the best way to counter this annoying pair of nodes

Use someone with a high damage sp2 (or sp1 but there are relatively few of those)
Hit him till he has a special 1
Dodge special 1
hit him till he has a special 1 (with his energize should take about a combo)
dodge special 1
you now have 2 bars of power.
Throw your special 2.
If not dead repeat

Now sometimes he is a jerk and refuses to be baited. In general I then died to an unblockable sp2 that I do not know how to dex and used someone else on my team.
