Why plan AW downtime during the last AW of the season?

Just got the in-game mail saying there's going to be a short downtime on Sept 11 at 8AM PDT. The final war of the season runs from Sept 10-12. I get that it's anticipated to be a short downtime, but why not wait another 36 hours or so until after the war ends?

If something goes wrong with the update and it somehow breaks the last day of AW....

Hey Summoners,

It is a short downtime in the Matchmaking system.

From the game team:
"We're past the matchmaking window for AW and players would already be in matches."

We selected that window because, "AQ doesn't use matchmaking - BG is off season. Early risers will find incursions won't connect but that's why we're doing it that early and it's before the Incursion Milestones and Top Zone stuff goes out later that day."

It should be short, likely less than hour, so it shouldn't have any major impact on your play sessions!
