Alright I'm gen z as hell, but I really have to wonder what exactly "dog water" means. Like I get that it's saying something is bad, but what is bad about dog water? What is dog water? Is it water for dogs to drink? Water that dogs have swam around in? Water made out of dogs? Dog shaped water? It's a conundrum really.

Dog water = hot dog water.

    .

I'm not a communist at all. I don't want everyone getting the same. I want a system that rewards Players for playing skillfully, but there are more Players and more skill levels than just "the best vs. everyone else". Most Players aren't even trying to be at the top. They're trying to play for reasonable progress over time.

So you want average players to get rewarded at the same pace, and rate as others, regardless of time put in and effort... You want Kabam to distribute rewards equally; but i get labeled as an evolutionist.

New season, same tired complaints. Apparently no one understands what competition means anymore. Too many participation trophy people out there.

What the hell are you talking about? I have no idea how you got that from what I said, but I'm positive I'm too young for dementia to kick in.

If you're talking about overall progress, then that always happens faster at lower levels. You cannot have a system that starts Players off at 0, and makes it longer for them to progress than those at the higher end. There's no progress at all in a system like that. I'm not even talking about BGs. I'm talking about the game in general.
Progress is accelerated at lower levels, and then slows down the higher you go up. Within this game, there are various plateaus and markers that Players must overcome, but this is still true in general.
You can't have a system where progress accelerates the higher you go. No one advances in that.

Just to double back, I don't know where you got equal Rewards when I said the skilled advance. What I said was there are more Players and skill levels than just "the best vs. everyone else". BGs are quite all-encompassing. I'm talking about everyone's progress being valuable over time, and if you make it too limited, save for the "best", then you exclude a large portion of Players from growing at a reasonable pace.
If you're under the impression I want everyone to get all the Rewards, then that says more about your viewpoint than mine. One of us is talking about the overall health of the game mode. The other is focused on keeping everyone else from having anything.

Because its the never ending story of rewards being the same, and you want lower players to have access to them, in a competition where the strongest have a handicap; but you got this thought of "lower players shouldn't face higher players, they should be able to progress"
Well they are able to plateau at plat, their road to plat with seeding will be as hard as mine to GC, I am seeded with everyone who got to GC last season so its tougher now to advance as well.
No its "never" about the rewards, its about the "experience".
BGs were advertised as the most competitive PvP mode of the game. If lower players can't see their reality and feel good about the rewards they have access to they are in denial. If its about the experience, there are so many people hosting tournaments they can have acess to.

You can keep minimizing and reducing the issue to whatever fits your dog-eat-dog narrative, but it's been explained in succinct detail.

I am not minimizing, I am supportive of their decisions. It is not my narrative its Kabam's.

It matters. I'm not sure why you have a hard time seeing that, but the game mode depends on participation. Not just the strongest Players.
Also, yes. It's a competition. One that is meant to have the strongest progress the highest. Not one that requires that anyone who isn't the strongest is completely roadblocked.
As I said, good luck with that. The unfortunate part is, there are those of us who actually want to see the game mode continue to be successful and see people motivated to keep trying and progressing. Not just settling for a couple Objectives every few days or every month.

You have been playing this game for 7-8 years
You should know by now that as long as Kabam dwindles a carrot on a stick people won't quit.
They will spam revives, spam pots, spam elder marks, spam victory shields. It really doesnt matter as long as there is a reward.
Stop lying to yourself, the game mode is successful as it is, they were looking for the top 8 to take to the brawl, not the top 8 of each progression level (just 1 example).
People want easy or accessible rewards, that's all they want.
Not sure what “dwindle a carrot” is but sounds interesting. Care to explain?

It's funny that you're on the "people are going to quit" train when you're always the first to dispute those posts when its about anything but BGs.
