Why are inputs more unreliable in BGs?

I don’t notice this as frequently as I do in this game mode. Is there something different about the BGs instance of the game? Is this just personal frustration from the 1 on 1 mode? Just always seems like BGs performs differently

    Ugh you guys had to to tie a Cap event to BGs today. I played 6 fights in two matches and my character stopped moving in all 6. WTH guys. BGs inputs are disgustingly awful this season

    Agreed. Controls seem most unreliable in bg’s. I don’t know how many times I’ve lost due to the controls not responding accordingly.

    New season same problem. Is there anything different about the BGs instance? I get so many dropped inputs in this game mode, far far more than others

    Exactly the same no issues. Pressures on and you will make more mistakes. Easy to not screw up when you are using an ascended r5 herc in cav eq.

    I'm going to be that guy right now. You are definitely way more stressed when playing a BG match than any other piece of game content and are making more mistakes because of it and think it's the controls messing up. The AI has been acting weird though i wont deny any of that

    Time of day and length of session seem to impact it for me. If we accept the server call frequency as a driver of lag, input issues, latency or whatever, that kind of makes sense.

    The AI dancing around sucks but I think the most annoying thing in the whole game is when they throw heavies randomly. Ik some characters are programmed to heavy more, but Chavez, Mysterio, Domino, and a couple others spamming heavies across the screen (faster than any human can react) is the worst

    When Mysterio first came out everyone was so annoyed with that heavy spam lmaoo, it's so dumb and throws everything off

    More pressure explains mistakes made on my end, but I've lost several rounds this season because my block didn't register or dex turned to parry. These kinds of issues have been going on for years, but thankfully not as frequently now as other months have been

    Yeah, interesting and useless points, also inaccurate. I’m talking about hitting block a full second before a special attack and nothing happened, dashing back but watching your character sprint forward. Super happy for you, but I can play other game modes and not experience this. But in BGs it happens.

    I’ve also had way more of these occurring

    Block turn into swipe forwards
    Block turn into dash back
    Medium atk turn into light
    Medium attack turn into dash back
    Medium attack turn into stand still
    Block turn into stand still
    5 combo ending on 4th hit leaving you standing there , so mlllm become mlllstandstill

    Game stutter mid combo resulting in the only safe option which is to hold block and hope. 50% of the time it works, other 50% you get countered.

    Very frustrating

    I wonder though - I think the auto play ai is susceptible to these errors. as when these errors occur, the fight looks exactly like how it would do if the auto fight ai was playing….
