Who to ascend advice and why?

Wondering who should ascend and why cuz maybe I don't understand all what Ascension does aside from more health and more attack.
Or quite possibly don't understand how one champion benefits ascension more than another champion.

I have both a max Sig R5 6* Nick fury and galan... Does one benefit more than the other based on their kit ...or is it just simply the more attack and more health?

    Galan benefits more. Galan's Harvest damage is only increased by increases to his Base Attack, meaning things like Fury or Prowess won't increase that damage, only ranking him up or Ascending him will
