Can't access the candy store, oct.2023

I updated the game today and found no candy store available for me. I've tried resetting the app and the game, and logging in and out of the game. No matter what I do, the candy store for this month's side quest will not appear. There are people in my alliance who cannot access it either. I can collect candy but I cannot use it. Is there a bug? Are there others in similar situation to myself?
